Because it’s a miracle and you’re doing it! You’re amazing! And your baby is a miracle too.  They will be born knowing you, dad/partner, sister/brother by smell and voice, and by your heartbeat when you’re with them.

Birth photography from your labour to after the birth

From around 5 cm I’m with you – at home or in hospital- and I’ll stay until after the birth to capture how fast s/he changes. I’ll bring chocolate and massage your back if you want, too.

Your partner loves you so much

They are there and hurt with you, honest. And they won’t say it. They won’t show their tears, their fear, their powerlessness. Because “it’s not about them”. I’ll show you how much they love you.

Yes it’s all for that miracle of a tiny baby- which felt big enough- her funny face, his recognising your smell, and daddy’s voice. Watch how he/she changes in 2 hours. (Same baby as top photo)

Pricing and recommendations

Pricing

As babies arrive when they want and take the time they want- or have to be helped in hospitals, nobody can guarantee to be there, I’ve seen midwives miss a birth.

I can promise to be on call 24/7 for up to 5 weeks and do my best to get there on time and to stay from active contractions to after the birth.

For this my usual rate is £600 regardless of whether I stay 4 or 10 hours. I love photographing births so I do negotiate prices if people really can’t afford this.
